WHO WE ARE?

With a clear vision and a strong social purpose, we bring support, safety and opportunities to those experiencing domestic abuse.

Threshold DAS (formerly Llanelli Women’s Aid Ltd) was founded in 1984, by a group of volunteers. In 1985 the first refuge was established.

In 2013 we became an accredited Agored Cymru Centre and secured European Social Funding (ESF), allowing us to deliver educational programmes for individuals, aiming to reduce economic inactivity in Carmarthenshire and convergence areas.

In August 2014 we were successful in our application to the Big Lottery for a 3-year Early Family Intervention Project, this allowed us to diversify our service further to work holistically with the whole family including perpetrators.

We have several projects working with children and young people.
