Circular Economy Education and Events Coordinator

Main purpose of the job

To coordinate alongside Carmarthenshire County Council comprehensive educational resources for primary and secondary school pupils. Based on circular economy, waste minimisation and recycling themes and in line with the ‘Beyond Recycling’ Welsh Government Strategy and Welsh National curriculum.

To deliver practical educational tours and workshops of the Canolfan Eto Re-use Village and Repair Workshop at Nantycaws and within the local communities for schools, community groups and relevant stakeholders.

To organise Eto community pop-up shops within the Ten Market Town locations within Carmarthenshire. Negotiating with event organisers and venue owners to coincide schedules with established circular economy activity and community events to enhance the community reach of the project and support local initiatives.

Key tasks/responsibilities

  • To assist with the development and implementation of a comprehensive learning resource package, for school-age children to introduce and enhance the pupil knowledge base of circular economy, waste minimisation and repair and reuse activities in Carmarthenshire whilst aligning with the curriculum.
  • To prepare for and deliver an enthusiastic practical workshop visit at the Eto Village, Nantycaws.
  • To promote active engagement with stakeholders, coordinating and scheduling on site, outreach and/ or community based educational visits and Ten Town Eto community pop up events.
  • Administer resources related to both the educational and community Eto pop up shop events.
  • Assist with drafting routine output reports on engagement and event activity, providing statistics relevant to the educational visits and community pop up events.
  • Liaise with the Council to establish current corporate initiatives, aiding collaboration for establishing and arranging Eto community pop up events.
  • Coordinate routine meetings with Council and CWM Officers to provide update meetings on project progress.

Contract term: until 28th February 2025 – 37.5 hours per week.

  • Cynorthwyo o ran datblygu a gweithredu pecyn adnoddau dysgu cynhwysfawr i blant oedran ysgol er mwyn cyflwyno a gwella sylfaen wybodaeth disgyblion am yr economi gylchol, lleihau gwastraff a gweithgareddau atgyweirio ac ailddefnyddio yn Sir Gaerfyrddin, a hynny'n unol â'r cwricwlwm.
  • Paratoi ar gyfer gweithdy ymarferol yn ystod ymweliad â Phentref Eto yn Nant-y-caws a'i gyflwyno mewn modd brwdfrydig.
  • Hyrwyddo ymgysylltiad gweithredol â rhanddeiliaid, cydlynu ac amserlennu ymweliadau allgymorth ar y safle a/neu ymweliadau addysgol yn y gymuned, a digwyddiadau cymunedol dros dro Eto yn y Deg Tref.
  • Gweinyddu adnoddau sy'n gysylltiedig â digwyddiadau addysgol a siopau cymunedol dros dro Eto.
  • Cynorthwyo o ran drafftio adroddiadau allbwn rheolaidd ar weithgarwch ymgysylltu a digwyddiadau, gan ddarparu ystadegau sy'n berthnasol i'r ymweliadau addysgol a digwyddiadau cymunedol dros dro.
  • Cysylltu â'r Cyngor i sefydlu mentrau corfforaethol cyfredol, gan gynorthwyo o ran cydweithio ar gyfer sefydlu a threfnu digwyddiadau cymunedol dros dro Eto.
  • Cydlynu cyfarfodydd rheolaidd â Swyddogion y Cyngor a Swyddogion CWM i ddarparu cyfarfodydd diweddaru ar gynnydd prosiectau.
