Darogan Talent

*ENGLISH BELOW*

Dyma ychydig o gyngor, gan y sylfaenwyr, ar sut i greu proffil Darogan Talent, a sut i sefyll allan

I ddod yn aelod o rwydwaith Darogan Talent, bydd rhaid i chi greu proffil ar-lein, er mwyn ichi allu cysylltu â chyd-raddedigion a darpar gyflogwyr.

Fel y gwyddoch, ein nod ni yw eich cysylltu â chyflogwyr blaenaf Cymru, a rhoi gwybod ichi am y swyddi, cyrsiau, newyddion a chyngor diweddaraf. Mae’r platfform unigryw yma hefyd yn eich galluogi chi i gysylltu a rhannu arfer da gyda graddedigion eraill, rhywbeth rydyn ni’n gobeithio fydd yn arwain at gyfnewid cyffrous o syniadau a hyd yn oed gydweithredu ar brosiectau a busnesau newydd.

Mae eich dyfodol yng Nghymru yn dechrau yma.

Creu eich proffil – y camau cyntaf

Dyma ganllaw gam-wrth-gam ar gyfer pob adran y bydd angen ichi ei llenwi er mwyn dod yn aelod.

Enw – Bydd angen eich enw go iawn arnom ni, nid enw defnyddiwr nac unrhyw lysenw a allai fod gennych.

Prifysgol – Gadewch i bawb wybod pa brifysgol yr ydych wedi ei mynychu neu yn dal i’w mynychu. Os ydych wedi bod i sawl prifysgol, dewiswch un, a theimlwch yn rhydd i adael i bobl wybod ble arall yr ydych wedi astudio yn yr adran ‘Dwedwch wrthym ychydig amdanoch eich hun’.

Maes astudio – Mae’r adran yma yn eich galluogi i nodi pa bwnc yr ydych wedi ei astudio. Unwaith eto, gallwch roi mwy o fanylion yn yr adran ‘Dwedwch wrthym ychydig amdanoch eich hun’ os ydych wedi astudio amrywiaeth o gyrsiau graddedig dros y blynyddoedd.

Blwyddyn graddio – Yn syml, nodwch y flwyddyn yr ydych yn disgwyl graddio, neu eisoes wedi graddio. Bydd hyn yn helpu i roi syniad i bobl ynghylch pa cyfnod o’ch bywyd yr ydych arni, a pha fath o gyfleoedd y bydd gennych ddiddordeb ynddynt.

Rhif ffôn – Mae hwn yn gwbl opsiynol, ond gallai ei gynnwys ganiatáu i gyflogwyr ac aelodau eraill i gysylltu â chi’n haws.

Dwedwch wrthym ychydig amdanoch eich hun –  Yn yr adran yma gallwch ddweud wrth bawb pwy ydych chi. Gadewch i ni wybod ble yr ydych wedi astudio, eich pynciau, a’r hyn yr ydych wedi ei gyflawni. Rydyn ni hefyd eisiau gwybod blerydych chi nawr, a ble hoffech chi fod o ran y math o gyfleoedd sydd o ddiddordeb i chi. Mae’r gofod yma i chi, er mwyn ichi allu eich mynegi eich hun. Ac wrth gwrs, gadewch i ni wybod os hoffech ohebiaeth yn Gymraeg.

Sgiliau – Gallwch fod yn benodol yma. Gadewch i aelodau graddedig eraill a chyflogwyr wybod pa sgiliau yr ydych wedi eu datblygu dros y blynyddoedd. Gall y rhaingynnwys ymchwilio, siarad cyhoeddus, golygu lluniau, codio, chwarae offeryn, neu unrhyw beth arall rydych yn teimlo sydd yn gwneud i chi sefyll allan.

Profiad gwaith – Os oes gennych unrhyw brofiad gwaith, dyma’r lle i sôn amdano, p’un ai’n interniaeth, rôl ran-amser neu lawn amser, mae’r cwbl yn berthnasol. Mae profiad gwaith ynhanfodol i ddangos eich ymrwymiad i’r yrfa yr hoffech ei dilyn, felly os ydych yn brin yn yr adran yma, cysylltwch â ni ar bob cyfrif a chawn weld pa gyfleoedd y gallwn eu  cyflwyno i chi gyda’n partneriaid Cyflogwyr a busnesau blaengar eraill yng Nghymru.

Dolenni cyfryngau cymdeithasol – Rydym yn gwybod bod gan nifer ohonoch broffiliau cyfryngau cymdeithasol rydych yn eu defnyddio i ddibenion proffesiynol. Bellach mae gennych chi'r opsiwn i ychwanegu linciau i’ch proffiliau LinkedIn, Twitter a Facebook trwy gopïo'r URL i’r bocs priodol.

Uwchlwytho llun proffil – Mae’r categori yma yn opsiynol hefyd, ond mae hi bob amser yn braf medru rhoi wynebi enw! Cofiwch fod hwn yn fforwm rhwydweithio ichi gael ymgysylltu â darpar gyflogwyr a phartneriaid busnes, felly rydym yn eich cynghori i beidio â rhoi lluniau ohonoch eich hunan ar wyliau neu ar lan y môr.

Yn agored i gyfleoedd? – Gallwch glicio’r opsiwn yma os ydych wrthi yn awr yn chwilio am gyfleoedd i raddedigion. Bydd hyn yn gadael i’n haelodau sy’n gyflogwyr, a hyd yn oed aelodau eraill sy’n raddedigion, wybod eich bod o bosibl â diddordeb mewn siarad gyda nhw am unrhyw gyfleoedd a allai fod ganddynt ar gynnig. Wrth gwrs, os yw eich sefyllfa yn newid wedi ichi gwblhau eich proffil, gallwch droi hwn ymlaen neu i ffwrdd pryd bynnag y dymunwch.

Ein hawgrymiadau ni

A dyma rai awgrymiadau ychwanegol i’ch helpu i adeiladu proffil gwych.

Ceisiwch ddal sylw pobl...

Gwnewch yn siŵr bod eich proffil yn rhoi digon o wybodaeth amdanoch chi a pha sgiliau sydd gennych i’w cynnig. Bydd cyflogwyr ac aelodau eraill eisiau dod i adnabod y chi ‘go iawn’, felly bydd rhoi digon o fanylion priodol yn ffordd effeithiol i annog eraill i gysylltu â chi.

… Ond cadwch i’r pwynt!

Ar yr un pryd, er  bod eisiau ichi gynnwys digon o wybodaeth ar eich proffil, peidiwch â chynnwys manylion diangen neu or-bersonol. Proffil gyrfaol yw hwn, felly ceisiwch ei drin mor broffesiynol â phosib.

Does dim angen i’ch proffil gynnwys eich  CV cyfan – mae’n fwy o drosolwg, ac felly mae’n well cadw pethau’n gryno. Os bydd cyflogwr neu aelod graddedig eisiau gwybod mwy amdanoch chi, byddant yn cysylltu, ac wedyn fe gewch chi gyfle i anfon eich CV a gwybodaeth pellach iddynt.

Ac yn bwysicaf oll: Peidiwch â bod yn swil!

Ein nod yw adeiladu rhwydwaith o raddedigion disglair, uchelgeisiol sydd eisiau gweithio yng Nghymru. Ond bydd hyn ond yn gweithio os bydd ein aelodau yn cysylltu â’i gilydd a dechrau’r trafodaethau cyffrous yna!

Peidiwch ag ofni cysylltu ag eraill yn gyntaf, i roi cychwyn ar y broses. Dechreuwch gysylltu, adeiladwch eich rhwydwaith personol, a gwelwch ba gyfleoedd sy’n codi.

Cofiwch, eich proffil yw eich gofod chi i arddangos eich talent, a beth sydd gennych i’w gynnig nawr ac yn y dyfodol. Dyma ôl eich bys ar brif hwb graddedigion Cymru ac rydym wrth ein bodd eich bod chi wedi penderfynu dod yn rhan ohoni.

Here's some advice, from the founders, on how to set up a Darogan Talent user profile, and how to stand out

To become a member of Darogan Talent’s network, you will need to create an online user profile, so you can engage with fellow graduates and prospective employers.

As you know, it is our aim to connect you to the best employers in Wales, and to keep you updated with the latest jobs, courses, news and advice.  This unique platform also allows you to connect and share best practice with other graduates, which we hope will lead to an exciting exchange of ideas and even collaboration on projects and start-ups.

Your future in Wales begins here.

Creating your profile – the basics

Here’s a step-by-step guide for each of the sections you will need to complete in order to become a member.

Name – We will need your real name, not a username or any nicknames you may have.

University – Let everyone know which university you have attended or are currently attending. If you have been to multiple universities, pick one, and feel free to let people know where else you have studied in the ‘Tell us a bit about yourself’ section.

Field of study -This section enables you to enter what subject you studied. Again, you can give more detail in the ‘Tell us a bit about yourself section’ if you have studied a variety of graduate courses over the years.

Year of graduation – Simply input the year you expect to graduate, or have already done so. This will help give people a sense of what stage of life you are at, and what sort of opportunities you may be interested in.

Phone number – This is completely optional, but including this may allow employers and other members to get in touch easier.

Tell us a bit about yourself – Here you can tell everyone about who you are. Let us know where you have studied, your subjects and your achievements. We also want to know where you are now, and where you would like to be regarding the sort of opportunities you are interested in. This space is yours to express yourself. And of course, please let us know if you would like correspondence in Welsh.

Skills – Here you can be specific. Let graduate and employer members know what skills you have developed over the years. These may include researching, public speaking, photo editing, coding, playing an instrument or anything else you feel that makes you stand out.

Work experience – If you have any work experience, here’s the place to note it, whether it’s an internship, part-time or full-time role, it’s all relevant! Work experience is essential to show your commitment to the career path you want to take, so if you’re lacking in this area, then please get in touch and we’ll see what opportunities we can introduce you to with our Employer partners and other leading businesses in Wales.

Social media handles – We know that many of you have social media profiles which you use for professional purposes, and so we wanted to give you the option to sign-post to these. You now have the option to add links to your LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook profiles by simply copying the URL to the relevant box.

Upload profile photo – This category is optional too, but it’s always nice to put a face to a name!  Please be mindful that this is a careers networking forum for you to engage with potential employers and business partners, so we advise against any holiday or beach shots!

Open to opportunities? – You can click this option if you are currently looking for graduate opportunities. This will let our employer members, or even other graduate members, know that you might be interested in speaking with them about any opportunities they might have to offer. Of course, if your situation changes after your profile is completed, you can turn this on or off whenever you like.

Our top tips

And here’s a few additional tips to help you build a great profile.

Try and catch people’s attention…

Make sure that your profile gives enough information about who you are and what skills you have to offer. Employers and our other members will want to get to know the real you, so giving plenty of relevant details will be an effective way of encouraging people to engage with you.

… But keep it punchy!

At the same time, while you should include plenty of information on your profile, do not include unnecessary or overly personal detail. This is a careers’ profile, so treat it as professionally as possible.

Your profile doesn’t need to include your full CV - it’s more of an overview, so it’s better to keep things to the point. If an employer or graduate member wants to know more about you, they will get in touch, and you will then have the opportunity to send them your CV or further info.

And most importantly: Don’t be shy!

Our aim is to build a network of bright, aspiring graduates who want to work in Wales. But this only works if our members get in touch with one another and start those exciting conversations!

Don’t be afraid to get in touch with others first, and get the ball rolling. Start connecting, build your personal network, and see what opportunities emerge.

Remember, your profile is your space to showcase your talent, and what you have to offer both now and in the future. It’s your own fingerprint on Wales’ leading graduate hub and we’re delighted that you've decided to become a part of it.
